Icons of Style - Miles Wharton

What is it about menswear/fashion that you wanted to pursue a career in it? (doesn't have to be a career in it, just what made you passionate about it)

Passion, I really love clothes, everything from the way they are made, down to the fabrics and how they make you feel when you’re wearing them. Getting dressed in the morning is fun, you can portray what mood you’re in by the way you dress.

Aside from fashion, what are some of your major interests?

Watches, Sports Cars, Family and my French Bulldog

The focus on men’s style seems to have increased in the past few years; why do you think that it?

I think its really down to awareness & Social Media. Most men are very competitive and as soon they see others dressing better, they want to up there game. Men are less afraid to try something different these days, compared to just old jeans and a t-shirt.

Style is a way to communicate to the world, what do you hope your style says about you?

Confident and Bold but Elegant.

Who are your style icons?

Gianni Agnelli & Nick Wooster

What is the one item in your closet that gets the most use?

Eve & Kane Loafers, I wear them everywhere.

Do you have any style pet peeves (does anything you see that men wear bother you)?

  • People that do all their suit buttons up
  • Running Shoes with Suits

What are the 3 essential items every man should have in their closet?

A good fitting Navy Suit, fresh white shirt & smart shoes

In a wardrobe, what are the most important pieces for a man to invest money in and what are some items to compromise on?

Definitely invest in your shoes and compromise on your basics like tees.

Do you have any advice for men who want to start dressing better but don’t know where to begin?
